About NSMA
History
The Norwegian Securities Markets Association (NSMA) is one of Norway's older enterprize organisations
NSMA's roots are Fondsbørsens Meglerforening and Norges Fondsmeglerforbund, who merged in 1978.
Fondsbørsens Meglerforening was founded in 1915, acting as quoting member on Kristiania Bourse. Norske Fonds- and Aktiemegleres Landsforbund was founded in 1918, organizing 17 local stockbrokers. In 1975 the name was changed to Norges Fondsmeglerforbund.
In 2013 Norges Fondsmeglerforbund's name was changed to Verdipapirforetakenes Forbund (VPFF)
